Roasted Chickpeas (aka Garbanzo Beans)

Cook Time: 20-30 Minutes
Servings: 2

Salty

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 can or tetra  pack of garbanzo beans

  • 2-3 tbs of Olive Oil

  • 2 tsp of Spices - chili powder, curry powder, garam masala, cumin, paprika, rosemary, thyme, basil, parsley, etc. (use as few or as many as you like)

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

 

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400.

  • Open and drain breans. 

  • Rinse the beans well under cool water

  • Lay them out on a paper towel and and dry them as much as possible (without smushing them)

  • In a bowl, mix the beans, spices, salt and olive oil well.

  • Lay the beans out on a lightly greased baking sheet

  • Bake for 20-30 minutes (depending on how crunchy you would like them.

Sweet 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 can or tetra  pack of garbanzo beans

  • 2 tbs of Coconut Oil

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

     

     

 

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400.

  • Open and drain breans. 

  • Rinse the beans well under cool water

  • Lay them out on a paper towel and and dry them as much as possible (without smushing them)

  • In a bowl, mix the beans, coconut oil, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg

  • Lay the beans out on a lightly greased baking sheet

  • Bake for 20-30 minutes (depending on how crunchy you would like them.
