Barley Breakfast Bowl

Prep notes: Use pre-cooked barley. Perfect recipe for leftovers!
Cooking time: 4 minutes
Yields: 1 people
1/2 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
1 1/2 cup pre-cooked Pearl Barley
2 teaspoons Raw Sugar
Pinch of Nutmeg
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pour almond milk into small pot on med-high hheat
Add barley, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon
Cook for 3-4 minutes
Pour into bowl and let sit for 3 minutes and enjoy!
Barley is rich in fiber which helps with having regular bowel movements and has been shown to decrease chances of colon cancer. Fiber also helps us feel fuller, longer.
Barley is esspecially good for diabetics because it has 8 different amino acids that help regulate blood sugar.
